Delete your SparkMentor account
You can delete your account and its data at any time: in the app, or by email if you can’t use the app.
The short version
- In the app: Settings → Account & data → Delete account.
- You have 14 days to change your mind. Sign in again and your account stays.
- After 14 days, your account and everything in it are erased for good.
- Can’t use the app? Email us from your account’s email address.

Delete it in the app
- 1Open SparkMentor and sign in.
- 2Go to Settings → Account & data.
- 3Tap Delete account and read what happens.
- 4Confirm it’s you: enter your password or, if you sign in with Google, a 6-digit code we email you.
- 5Tap Delete account again to confirm.
You’re signed out on every device straight away, and we email you the date your account will be erased.
Want a copy first? Before deleting, use Settings → Account & data → Download my data. We email you when the ZIP is ready, and it stays available in Settings for 7 days.
What happens next
- Right away: any subscription is cancelled (you won’t be charged again), auto top-up is turned off, your public profile is hidden, and you’re signed out everywhere.
- For 14 days: your account is kept in case you change your mind. Sign in again and everything stays as it was, except that a cancelled subscription stays cancelled.
- After 14 days: your account and its data are erased permanently, including your files. This can’t be undone.
- Within 30 more days: copies in backups and server logs roll off.
What we delete
Everything in your account, including:
- your profile, sign-in details and settings;
- your chats and voice transcripts, notes, uploads and photos (including the copies of your files sent to OpenAI for your knowledge trees), knowledge trees, review cards, quizzes, mistakes, study plans and saved items;
- your progress, streaks, achievements and public profile;
- your credits, credit history, referrals and support requests;
- your connections to Google Classroom and Sparkmentis. We also give up our access to your Google Classroom.
Unused credits and the rest of a paid period are lost and aren’t refunded.
What we keep
- A one-way hash of your email address, so a new account with the same email doesn’t get welcome credits again. It can’t be turned back into your email address.
- Payment records held by Stripe, our payment provider, which keeps them for tax and accounting as the law requires.
- Anonymous usage data that was never linked to you. It’s deleted after 180 days anyway.
- A record of changes our team made to your account, kept for security.
- Emails you sent us, such as your deletion request, which stay in our mailbox.
Delete it without the app
If you can’t use the app, for example because you’ve lost access, email sparkmentis@gmail.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my SparkMentor account”. Include:
- the email address of the account, and the name on it;
- that you want the account and its data deleted.
If you can’t write from that address, tell us why. We’ll ask a question or two to make sure the account is yours. Then we schedule the deletion for you, usually within a few days and always within 30 days: it works exactly as if you’d asked in the app, with the same 14-day grace period, and we email you the date.
Delete only some data
You don’t have to delete your account to remove things. Delete single chats, notes, cards, quizzes and other items in the app, turn off your public profile, or disconnect Google Classroom and Sparkmentis in Integrations. To have specific data deleted that you can’t remove yourself, email sparkmentis@gmail.com.
Parents and guardians
SparkMentor is for students aged 13 and over. If your child has an account, including a child under 13 who signed up anyway, email sparkmentis@gmail.com with the account’s email address and we’ll help you delete it and its data.
